Servings for two.
When taking a dish to two elderly persons struggling with health problems, divide it into smaller servings that can be frozen.
Monthly dessert treats
Once a month I meet 6 ladies I used to work with for lunch . Most of them are in their 80's and don't bake, so everytime we meet I bring them each a piece of dessert- cheesecake, cinnamon rolls, cake, pie, muffins, etc. They really appreciate it.
Of course u may. I often buy containers at Dollar Tree. If it's close to a holiday, I find some with decorative lids. One yr I found mini loaf pans for Thanksgiving and baked them each a little pumpkin loaf. They could use the containers later for other things. I have used small jars for refrigerator desserts too.

I'll start. I'm Adina and I created Take Them A Meal in 2007 to help my dearest friend. The Extra Helping in our newsletter with ideas for how to care well for your friends. One of my favorite parts of managing the website and newsletter is learning from you. Something I did for a friend recently was drop off some frozen soup and bread to give her an easy dinner during her first week being an empty nester. She was so grateful!

via The Extra HelpingSunday Swap
I had a Sunday Swap party that was featured in one of the newsletters. It was a great way to get people together other than a holiday gathering. You learn more about people by what they bring for the swap and the good conversations over some snack foods.
Join The Extra Helping Community
One of the things I love most about Take Them A Meal is that it has connected many kindhearted people over the years. Our new community space will give readers a place to share recipes, gift ideas, caregiving tips, and stories of people showing up for one another. I hope it becomes a warm gathering place where we can encourage each other.
