Feeling alone doesn’t always mean someone is physically by themselves. Sometimes it looks like walking through a hard season, adjusting to a big change, or simply feeling overwhelmed by everyday life. Another great way to help someone who is struggling is to invite them on a walk. If they aren’t ready to talk about what they’re going through, that’s totally fine. Simply getting them out of the house and spending time together can make such a difference. When I was newly postpartum, getting out of the house with my baby and going for walks with my neighbor was truly life-changing for me.

Taking someone a meal is one of the most meaningful ways to remind them they aren’t alone. A warm, nourishing meal can bring so much comfort and take one thing off their plate.
