A few years ago a sweet friend called to tell me that her mom was having significant health issues and her dad was the caregiver. My friend, Becky, was helping care for her mother-in-law, so traveling out of town to be with her parents wasn’t going to work that Thanksgiving. I could tell she was saddened by the thought.

As Becky and I continued to talk, she began to ask me about the turkey dinner we offer in our Take Them A Meal store. She had seen our holiday meals online and asked if we would be able to send one to her parents for Thanksgiving. I could tell Becky was relieved to know she could make Thanksgiving special and easy for her parents, even though she couldn’t be there that year.

The holidays are approaching and sometimes the kindest thing you can send is dinner.

These meals will be available in our online store starting at the end of October.

Christmas can be hard for someone who is sick, grieving, alone, recovering, far from home or simply having a difficult year.

Becky couldn’t be there that Thanksgiving, but she found a way to make sure her parents had a Thanksgiving dinner waiting for them.

That’s what we love about taking and sending meals. It’s a way of saying, “I’m thinking about you. I wish I could be there and I hope this makes things a little easier.”

Our holiday meals will be available in the Take Them A Meal store beginning in mid-October. We’ll share more details when they’re ready.

Warmly,
Adina
